Life at Confederation

Confederation College’s main campus is located in the heart of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Situated on the north shore of Lake Superior – the world’s largest freshwater lake – Thunder Bay offers an exciting mix of urban and active lifestyles. Students can enjoy all the conveniences of city living with easy access to some of Canada’s most epic natural surroundings.

Confederation Student Life

Confederation College is more than just another post-secondary institution; we’re a culturally diverse close-knit community of individuals who believe in the importance of hitting the books and having fun. That’s why students can count on a vibrant and motivating campus life experience, which will include a wide range of programs, athletics, activities and events hosted by our Student Union.

Our APIWIN Lounge gives Indigenous and non-Indigenous students a quiet and safe learning space to study and complete coursework. Students can look forward to participating in a wide variety of culturally-based events and activities, all of which create a welcoming environment for everyone.

Confederation Student Housing

Confederation College’s residences offer everything students need to make their College experience a memorable and safe time, while enjoying the convenience of being just steps away from class. With a number of different room options, tons of amenities and weekly social events, students can look forward to a comfortable home away from home.

Spruce House and Cedar House, our two apartment-style residences, and our Sibley Hall traditional residence, are surrounded by 130 acres of park-style campus.
