Pre-Health Courses
Ontario college pre-health programs often have different goals, though all are related to preparing students for careers in the health and medical industry. The different program specialties may include:
- Improving language skills. Some pre-health programs have the specific intent of helping ESL students improve their language skills, with a focus on working in a medical career.
- Meeting program requirements. Pre-health programs help students improve their fundamental knowledge in chemistry, biology, math and physics so they can meet admission requirements for the health and medical programs in which they are interested.

General Pre-Health Program Requirements
Pre-health programs at Ontario colleges require an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, which includes a grade 12 English credit and a senior math credit. Senior science credits, such as those in biology, chemistry or physics, may also be required.
