The Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation

The Canadian Millennium Scholarship Foundation was established by an act of Parliament in 1998, in an effort to provide students with opportunities to pursue a post-secondary education. Since 2000, the foundation has granted bursaries and scholarships totaling more than $2.2 billion dollars. With annual dispersements of over $325 million, these scholarships are well worth looking into. Millennium Scholarships are intended to assist full-time undergraduate students with significant financial need. Scholarships range between $1000 and $4500, with a lifetime limit of $22500 per student. Visit the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation website to complete the application or to learn more.

Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship

The Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship was designed to recognize students who have shown academic excellence at the high school level and to assist students with their financial needs as they pursue post-secondary education in Ontario. Scholarship amounts are determined based on the information you provide on your application. Please note that the application for this scholarship is located within the OSAP application; you must apply for OSAP to be considered. The maximum amount a student can obtain is $3500 annually. Visit the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship website for more information. 

The Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship for Colleges

The Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship for Colleges program distributes awards to college students on a national, provincial, and regional level. These scholarships are available to both new college students and to those currently enrolled in a college program. Please note, if you are not a new college student you must be nominated by your college to be considered. To learn more about these generous scholarship awards, visit The Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship for Colleges.
