From the time it opened its doors in 1967, Canadore College of Applied Arts and Technology has taken pride in creating the best possible environment for learning. Its small class sizes and easy access to faculty allow students to get the most out of their education. The college also continues to add more programs in new, exciting and diverse fields, including recent offerings like Recreation Therapy, Fine Craft and Design, and Crime Scene Investigation.

  • 3 easily accessible campuses, including the state-of-the-art Aviation Campus, Commerce Court Campus and the College Drive Campus situated on a stunning 650-acre wooded escarpment overlooking the city.

  • 3,500 full-time students and 4,500 part-time students.
  • More than 80 full-time postsecondary programs and hundreds of continuing education and summer arts courses each year.

Canadore College, North Bay
North Bay is known for its lakes and forests, as well as for its year-round outdoor activities. From swimming in the summer, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, mountain-biking in the spring and fall or using the plentiful nature trails in any season, the city is a fantastic area to get out and enjoy nature.

If you’d like a taste of the great indoors, North Bay has excellent shopping facilities and a unique downtown core full of interesting shops. The Art Deco Capitol Centre is the perfect stage for musicals and theatre, and the city is also a draw for many popular rock bands.

Canadore Students


Canadore Student Life
Canadore student life starts with Orientation Week, a busy, activity-filled week that helps new students get to know each other and their new home. Canadore also boasts over 40 different athletic and recreational activities, which include not only intramural, extramural and varsity sports, but also activities like snowboarding, whitewater rafting and horseback riding.

If you’re looking for a place to hang out after class, The Wall Bar & Grillhouse is the on-campus choice for Canadore students. It’s a draw for many events and concerts, and is also a great place to mingle and meet other students.

Canadore Student Housing
Canadore student residences are available in townhouse style and apartment style. Townhouse residences (available in six-bedroom units) accommodate 350 students and apartment-style 146 students. Both types of residences provide all the amenities necessary for comfortable living and studying, and are equipped with single bedrooms and common areas so students can have both privacy and opportunity to socialize.
