Georgian College, Barrie
Barrie is a great city for those who like to mix the outdoors with city life. It features more than 90 parks, equipped with biking and walking trails, ski hills and a waterfront that draws thousands of tourists each year.

For those who like a bustling city, Barrie is also filled with shopping centres and the Molson Centre for concerts and performances. And if that’s not enough excitement, Barrie is less than an hour from Toronto!

Georgian Student Life
At Georgian, a strong student council leads students throughout their time at the college, providing numerous opportunities for socializing and making new friends. Just a few of the events include a robust orientation week, on-campus concerts and much more.

Athletics and recreation opportunities in the fitness centre give students plenty of ways to stay active and students are also encouraged to get involved in new and familiar activities and clubs.

Georgian Student Housing
Georgian’s Barrie residence houses 525 students in suite-style units. These units have two single bedrooms, one bathroom, and kitchenette with fridge and microwave / convection oven. Each bedroom contains a double bed, large desk and closet with built-in shelf space. Satellite television, basic telephone service and Internet connection are also provided. Lounge areas, individual or group study spaces, as well as laundry and full kitchen facilities for larger groups are also available.

Georgian Student Services
Georgian’s student services are equipped to meet all the needs of students, both in their personal and academic life. A sample of these services includes:

  • Student Success (which offers academic, career, personal and disability counselling)
  • On-campus Stores (for books, computer parts and general items)
  • Security Services (such as empergency phones and an escort to your vehicle after dark)
