Fleming College of Applied Arts and Technology, located in the heart of the Kawarthas, was named for famous Canadian inventor and engineer Sir Sandford Fleming. With more than 100 full-time programs in Art and Design, Business, Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, Justice and Community Development, Health and Wellness as well as Trades and Technology, Fleming offers unique opportunities for students to enrich their college experience.

Life at Fleming

Fleming College, Peterborough and Lindsay

With a population of 75,000, the city of Peterborough provides a balance of big-city amenities and the safety and community of a smaller city. It features trails, parks and lakes for the outdoorsy, shops, restaurants and nightclubs for urban dwellers.

GO Bus service now offers frequent daily service to Oshawa GO station from Peterborough. Getting around Peterborough is easy with city bus stops conveniently located on campus.

The Lindsay campus is also located in a student-friendly community with a population of about 20,000, and is within a 90-minute drive of Toronto.

Fleming Student Life

The Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre is a highlight of student life. The state-of-the-art facility contains a triple gymnasium, fitness centre, aquatics centre and an indoor track, making it a great home for Fleming’s athletes and the college’s varsity and intramural sports. Located next to the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre, the new Fleming Sport Complex is home to two artificial turf fields designed to host soccer, rugby and field lacrosse.

Both the Peterborough and the Lindsay campuses have student centres offering a range of activities and events.

For those who aren’t athletically inclined, there is plenty of green space to enjoy, as well as many clubs and organizations appealing to a variety of tastes.

Fleming Student Housing

Fleming’s Peterborough and Lindsay campuses feature friendly staff, plenty of social activities and comfortable spaces to help students acclimate to college life.

Suite-style rooms are equipped with single bedrooms, shared living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. On-site laundry is also available.
